Benefits of Heat Pads
You might be wondering why you would buy a reusable heat pad when you see the ready to use ones at the store. I’m here to tell you why it’s better, and not just because I sell them. I’ve used the reusable kind ever since I was a child, for cold nights, or bumps from adventures so it’s something that I’ve always known, and only recently really dove into the benefits when I was pregnant with my first child. The different kind of scents even have different benefits attached to them which is super cool to me. I will also be covering reusable ice packs as well, seeing as they double as both, I’d be remiss if I left that information out.
Heat Pads found at the store are single use, they expire, made with plastic, and definitely don’t smell as nice. The reusable kind cost more as a single purchase, but as the name suggests, you can reuse it. Once you have reused our heat pads 3 times you have gotten your moneys worth, once you use it 6 times you have saved money by not buying the single use. The single use heat pads are not as soft or conforming as the reusable ones. The single use ones end up in the landfill if we are lucky, and in the ocean if we aren’t.
When I was pregnant, it would be an understatement to say, I used the heat pad and ice pack every day. When I suffered from round ligament pain, and back pain I used the heat pad to soothe my joints and muscles. When I had morning sickness I used the peppermint heat pad on my forehead to quell the nausea. At night, I was pregnant over the summer, I would curl up with the ice pack to cool down and not freeze my husband with the air conditioning. So many uses and with 3 different size options my pregnancy was covered. I also use the ice packs for my own kids when they’ve had a bump or a scrape because the pack is soft, conforming, and isn’t a harsh cold. I’ve also used them as heat packs during the winter when their rooms have been a bit cold I warm their beds up with the heat pad under their blankets.
In aromatherapy, peppermint oil is promoted for treating coughs and colds, reducing pain, improving mental function, and reducing stress. Lavender oil promotes relaxation, can calm anxiety or stress, lift your mood, and calm nausea. Eucalyptus oil can alleviate headaches, relieve sinus congestion, it has been shown to help with asthma, and it is also a natural deodorizer. Whatever scent you choose, they all have great benefits, this is why I also offer mixed scent packs, so you can have all the benefits in one pack.
In conclusion, buy the reusable pads, not only to help support my small business, but also cause it will support you. You will save money, destress, and be happy you have saved one product out of the trash.
